Athletics day is a fun day to do many activities and you even get to dress up in your house colours! This is way you should come: you get to dress up in your house colours, do running and more activities (throughout the whole day), their selling juices on the day, you don’t have to do school work! Even though you might not athletics day you should still come to even cheer on your friends and others. Incase you wanted to know here is some of the activities: High jump, 100m 200m ect, even the relay race! I hope this changed your mind about coming and to show you how fun it is.

Why you should go to house assembly!

I know you may think it’s boring and all but trust me it’s really fun you get to dress up in your house colour sing and even play a game that they choose. Even if you think it’s boring give it a go and dress up and maybe try and play a game trust me it’s really fun and you would be supporting your house. Because you get to dress up in your house without bringing a can of coin and get to miss a few labs/workshops in the morning.

How Tōtara park & Botanical Gardens are similar each other- they both have native bugs/insects and they also both have fresh air from the trees growing amongst the air. There both very pretty and beautiful a specially with there native birds and plants gathered around both areas they also both connect to each other!

How Tōtara park & Botanical gardens is different – Well Tōtara park is a forest and the type of forest it is: Original remnant forest! Unlike Botanic it is a garden and also has a Cáfe and totara doesn’t.

How they connect with our kaitiakitanga – Both lands are very important to us kids & adults/elders out there since they are apart of our area where we live and is connect to New Zealand. They both are very connect to our topic as an insects/bugs, land, plants, and many more apart of are environment we are also trying to make our land a better place like not dirty and no pest around this land. Totara and botanical are very clean and connected to our topic a specially for the research we are doing.

How to be an Olympian

One of the skills is to be fit and strong but you don’t have to be very fit as long as you are a little fit and strong! Another one is to be able to do one of the Olympic sports like swimming or gymnastics. You should also do it if you wanna represent your country and you might even win the Olympics with your teammates another is you need to have confidence in yourself and your team! Don’t let yourself down and have great sportsmanship.

Introduction
Peter Jackson was a film maker back in 1987, he started when he was just eight years old. He also grew up Pukerua Bay and went to Kāpiti  college. He’s most known for The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit.

Peter Jackson’s early life
Peter Jackson grew up in Pakerua Bay forty minutes North of Wellington. Peter Jackson started making films when he’s just eight years old and he went to Kāpiti college. Peter Jackson got married in 1987 to Fran Walsh and had two kids girl and boy named Katie and Billy. Till this day he make films.

About Peter Jacksons films                                                      We all know that Peter Jackson is well known for The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit but all though he has directed at least over twenty two films. He also made The Lord Of The Rings into a movie. He actually made The Lord Of The Rings into a movie but the original was a book. He also directed King Kong 1 and Star Wars The Revealed Legacy.

The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit.                                         Peter Jackson directed The Hobbit and The Lord Of The Rings. did you actually know The Lord Of The Rings was a book then Peter Jackson made into a movie! He also started filming the hobbit in 2011 on March the twentieth it’s also a book and The Lord Of The Rings was filmed on the 11th of October 1999.

On the 20th of Wednesday we went to polyfest as a school trip! It was a nice sunny day we went to a couple performances. There was also a bag scan to make sure you didn’t bring anything you weren’t allowed! There was also dances like Chinese, Indian, filipino,  kapa haka! But before we went to the stages to watch we meet up at one stage we had talk about the stalls a few questions and prizes! Then  we followed the flags the first few performances/stages and sit down eat drink and watch! After we watched a few performances and headed to the next one we had toilet breaks and headed back to the buses to go back to school.

I looked up wondering where 

The shining stars went away

I cried like a baby

Wondering why they disappeared 

I looked shocked more then a emoji

On the holidays my friend and I went to my grandparents beach house for a couple of days. After my dad got some lollies we head on the road. It was about a two hour drive so my dad said we will meet half way at a cafe.

Once we got there we ate some food. My friend and I got the same thing! We got pancakes and apple juice. After we all ate my dad and grandparents were talking for awhile so me and Ina went to play on the playground for awhile!!

After they talked we transferred all of our stuff into my grandparents car and said our goodbyes and headed back on the road! After a couple of minutes I said “Are we there yet?” Bugging my grandparents saying it lots of times!

We were so bored in the car we all play I spy it was really fun. Ina asked me “Which bed are you sleeping in?” I said “the one by the window!” We finally arrived we had some tea and headed to the beach. Once we got back from the beach we had dinner and headed to bed!

My first few days as a kahu student has been average because it’s been boring but also really fun. I’m enjoying these first few days seeing my friends and new teachers! I’ve also learnt about the Chinese new year and we are making lanterns for our lantern festival. I’m hoping this year I can get to involved band or Self directed. At the moment most of us are at support because it’s the start of the year so we have to work our way up!
