Stop Motion – Project Introduction

Title: New Zealand, Land of The Long White Cloud.

The story is about persuading oversea travellers to come and visit New Zealand and we will talk about NZ landmarks and more.

My group: Angelo, Anthony, Evan and Aaron H

Filmer: Evan and Anthony Drawer: Evan and Aaron H      Mover of moving props and characters: Angelo. First we planned the story board for what we’re doing at the start and end. We will decide the characters and setting by doing a vote on which setting and character we should do. We changed our plan a bit because we weren’t proud of all the different things we’re doing for the stop motion.

Famous NZ Authors

In week 5-6 STEAM we learnt about famous NZ authors. We made an image from the spine of a book so people know that a Māori/New Zealander was the author/illustrator of this book.

We also had to have some facts of a famous NZ author and I put in some facts of Gavin Bishop a famous NZ author in my STEAM book, for example I put in facts on where he was born which is Invercargill and where he lives now which is Christchurch. Anyways, here is a picture of it.

2025 Persuasive Writing Writing

Everyone Should Play Sports

Did you know that sports is good for you? Sports also helps your heart, keeps you strong and healthy, also it’s fun and keeps you outside all day. So after reading this piece of persuasive writing, I hope you will soon agree with me.

Firstly, sports helps your heart which means your heart will get stronger by beating faster which also means you live longer. In addition, it also improves your blood flow. Also, it reduces heart disease.

Furthermore, I think sports keeps you strong and healthy so if you are weak and stay at home, sports will make you eat healthier which makes you lose more weight. Also, it gives you muscle! Also, it’s pretty obvious that sports keeps your bones sturdy and it makes you less fat!

Plus, sports are pretty fun which keeps you outside all day. So that would mean that you won’t stay on your electronics all day such as an iPad or a phone. Also, sports will give you fresh air unless you play inside sports.

I hope the following reasons: helps your heart, keeps you strong and healthy and it’s fun convinced you that everyone should play sports, goodbye.

Rules of rugby.

I created this poster using the CANVA platform. I like the fact that you can change your work into a theme and landscape or portrait. The most difficult thing I found in CANVA was moving the text to another place.

The 3 Famous New Zealand people

We all know Jean Batten,Sir Edmund Hillary and Ernest Rutherford. Well, I will tell you a little about them and what we learnt about them.

Jean Batten flew across the world from England to New Zealand breaking the world record at the time. We made a map of where she flew to and a paper airplane.

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mount Everest. We made an item to help climb Mount Everest.

And finally, Ernest Rutherford was the first person to split the atom (they call him the father of nuclear physics). We named the part of the atom and coloured it in.
