In this blog I am going to talk about a person famous in NZ and her name is Lynly  Dodd she was a very good author in NZ she makes books like cartoon books and I am going to tell you about her . She is a female author that makes books like Hairy McClary .

Lynly Dodd was born in 5th July 1941. She was born in Rotorua.  She is an author and an illustrator in her books she uses rhythm and rhymes  and makes books like cartoonist books for example : Hairy McClairy , Slinky Malinki etc .

In my class we had to choose a group and choose a character from one of her big time books in my group we had : Joseph , Isaac , Malakai , Armaan . And the character we choose  was  Schnitzel Von Krumm and then we had to learn a part and say it in the assembly we had to do actions with it .

Sir Edmund Hillary was the first one to climb Mount Everest .  He was a navigator with the New Zealand royal airforce during WW||. In this blog I Made a timeline for sir Edmund Hillary . There is going to be picture of sir Edmund Hillary’s timeline . But I am going to tell you about everything about sir Edmund Hillary . Let’s begin .

sir Edmund Hillary’s achievement :sir Edmund Hillary was leading the first overland expedition to the South Pole in 1958, and travelling to the North Pole in 1985, becoming the first person to reach all three poles . He was the first one to climb the biggest mountain in the world ( Mount Everest ) . In January sir Edmund Hillary climes the Mount Cook . Sir Edmund Hillary climbed his first mountain, Mount Ollivier, in 1939. This was his first major climb and marked his first significant achievement in the world of mountaineering.

sir Edmund Hillary’s life story : Sir Edmund Hillary’s fame came as a result of being the first New Zealander in the world to conquer Mt. Everest in Nepal.Sir Edmund Hillary was a New Zealand mountaineer, beekeeper, and explorer known for being the first person to reach the summit of Mount Everest with Tenzing Norgay in 1953 .

Sir Edmund Hillary marriage story . Sir Edmund Hillary married his first wife Louise rose on September 3 1953 shortly after his e Everest climb they had three child but tragically he lost his wife Louise and his daughter Belinda in a 1975 plane crash in Nepal . Hillary after married a girl called June mulgrew in 1985 .

sir Edmund Hillary sadly died in 2008 but he was the first person who climbed on the biggest mountain in the world.

 

 

Nz landmarks

Nz landmarks: A landmark  means a distinguish  place or structure which has historical, cultural or geographical significance. In this blog I am going to talk about some NZ landmarks that I made in Minecraft.

My nz landmarks :  I start this blog with the Sky Tower. The Sky Tower is located in downtown Auckland. It goes upto a massive height of 328 metres. In the sky tower there are many options of activities that you can do . In the sky tower there is a revolving restraunt at the top part of the sky tower where you can eat and enjoy the the view of  the downtown and much of Auckland.  Next time when I make the sky tower I am going to take less time in making it so realistic, because we had so less time to make the harbour bridge and it didn’t come out as good as the sky tower we made so we learned that next time we are not going to make it so realistic and detailed .

My nz landmark 2 : In my nz landmarks 2 I made the Auckland  Harbour bridge the auckland harbour bridge is not only the tallest bridge in the Nz it is also the tenth longest bridge in the whole world . The harbour bridge didn’t took me that much time and is not that realistic and good because I didn’t have much time because of the sky tower that me and my friends made but we did finish it on time  that is a good thing and if you have a app that can make the work a game you should always try it . It really helps a lot and saves a lot of time and make it so much more fun .

Week 6 :

What is kaitiakitanga :

Kaitiakitanga is guardians ship of earth It protect our earth . You need to put Parahanga In the hangarua bin , In every house there Is one hangarua bin . You need to stop throwing rubbish . You need to clean the gardens like your home and pick up rubbish.  You need to help the cleaner to clean the gardens , road and house and everything .  In the gardens school we do enviro and planting in enviro .

How my world shows kaitiakitanga :

In my world there Is a farm , in the farm people can grow vegetables . There Is a area where we can tame the horses

and ride them . In our game we made a garden .

How my game  shows kaitiakitanga:

• In our game  we made a maze with leaf blocks . In the game I made the farm with leaves , grass block , soil , small drip leaves and water.
• In different room i have put a  sampling that you can grow.

 

What i learnt about kaitiakitanga :

When I walk beside the kakapo cafe I see some plants growing without their roots. In the garden the teacher always taught that If you don’t touch the bee It will not sting If you touch or harm the bee It will sting you. My mother always taught me not to put the recycle waste in the other bin ,

How to build a world :

Step 1 : G o to Minecraft create a world , name it and get concrete block .

Step 2 : Make a circle or a big square make door and a good structure .

Step 3 : Decorate it from outside and put small leaves .

Step 4 :  Go inside the structure and make a marine decoration .

Step 5 last step : Go to the marine section and decorate it all and put the animal in the water tank .

Why my design :

The design I  made for my Minecraft game was a Minecraft picture at the background why I did the design because it made it look good at the Minecraft and it machetes it.

Week 1:

In week 1 we are busy planning our games that we will be creating in Minecraft based on Kaitiakitanga. WHAT IS KAITIAKITANGA? HOW DID YOU PLAN?

In Minecraft we are going to make a nature reserve and a water In Minecraft . we are making a game to make people happy but the game Is going to be a maze , quiz and password door .

 

Storyline:

There was a character called Steve  . he always helped everyone . after 20 years he sadly died to remember him they made a Aquarium  and a zoo

Name of game :

Today we made a name of the game but  It was to hard to make but we took a Idea that lets just write the name of Kaitiakitanga and the game’s name is Kaitiakitanga game .

Rules of the game :

•  You can’t come inside without our permission .
• You can”t touch animal and kill animal .
• you can’t get any bomb  .
• You can’t break anything .

In Minecraft our design Is a quiz first and then a nature and water reserve under ground.
