NZ authors week 5 team 3

In Mrs  Barrowman’s steam we were talking about Gavin Bishop and he does illustrations.

Another thing we did was drew a picture to show that it was made by a  New Zealand author or illustrator also we can go on Safari to search up Māori images to get ideas to draw. The Second photo is about Gavin Bishop and when he was born.

While I was with Miss Siau I made a kiwi and my friends made other things like sky tower , fantail etc.

1.What NZ identity features did we include?

kiwi,fantail,tawa tree, sky tower ,L&P bottle kauri tree, etc

2.What did I learn about Aotearoa during this project?

I learned that how famous New Zealand is.

3.What digital skills did I use?
Blocks.

4. What would I do differently next time? I would add some more detail to the kiwi

5.How well did we work together?
we worked really good on the thing

History of the all Blacks

1. When was rugby introduced to New Zealand and by how?
Answer: May 14 1870 and Charles John Monro.

2. When did NZ play their first rugby game.
Answer: May 1870

3. When did NZ play their first international game? Did they win or lose? What was the score?
Answer: 1903 and they won, the score was NZ 22 – 3 AUS.

4. When was the NZ team called the All Blacks? Why and how did they become known as the All Blacks?
Answer: 1905, because they wore black uniforms.

5. Name 3 of the best players and what they are known for.
Answer: 1. Richie MoCaw – A great captain who helped NZ win the World Cup 2 times 2. Dan Carter – best goal kicker ever 3. Jonah Lomu – big, fast winger.

6. What do the all Blacks perform before each Match? What does it mean and why do they perform it?

Answer: Hakka, it means we are ready to play. It comes from Māori culture and helps the team feel brave and united.
