Lynley Dodd is a well known author in NZ and has been writing for 40 years and is 84 she was born in Rotorua but is living in Tauranga and now we’re been learning about her!
THIS IS WHAT WERE’RE LEARNING:
We’ve been trying very hard and I think we have had a great time with her books.
Assembly was fun and I enjoyed it we went into groups and made actions for our character and had so much fun with it and we couldn’t have done it without Mrs Barrowman.

I go and find a buddy to work with I didn’t know who I wanted to buddy up with but at the end I decided on Amaira. Amaira was excited about it I was to, we went on to Minecraft together and started to make landmarks we did the Whare,L&P and the Hobbit Hole
- What NZ identity features did we include?
A kiwi,tui and a karure
- What did I learn about Aotearoa during this project?
That it has a beautiful native animals
- What digital skills did I use?
Getting creative with my own work in Minecraft
- What would I do differently next time?
- How well did we work together? I think we can do better with the birds in our build
