Sir Peter Jackson is a filmmaker and director who lives in New Zealand. One of his most famous pieces  he has made is  ‘Lord Of The Rings’ that has over 150 million buys (over $2.9 billion worldwide)!! He has made a company called WētāFX.


Sir Peter Jackson’s early life.

When Peter Jackson was a young boy, he and his mother would go on walks in the forest and his mum would always tease “Stick to the path!” Which gave him his strong imagination. When he was home his dad would make miniature planes, and Peter Jackson would ask him if he could help… he would kept on asking until Dad will said yes, that gave him his interest in building. On his own he found interests in cameras and it’s functions. Other than that he had a usual life.

Sir Peter Jackson has, for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Peter Jackson has been awarded three Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. His other accolades include three BAFTAs, a Golden Globe, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and four Saturn Awards among others. all together he won at least 13 awards!!

He has also directed other films like the acclaimed King Kong, and produced other successful films like District 9 and the Heavenly Creatures. People would try and make fantasy films like how Sir Peter Jackson has made. One other of his notable achievements is his WWI Documentary, he directed They Shall Not Grow Old, a haunting documentary that transformed archival footage into a deeply personal exploration of World War I.
