What could be some factors caused Extreme weather?

There is many factors that caused extreme weather like heavy rain ,heat wave, and strong wind.

Could you relate it to the water cycle?

It could relate to the water cycle because some extreme weather could come from the water like typhoons tsunami because of the water cycle

Where did the water go?

The sun evaporated the water, the water then transformed/condensates in to clouds and it rains back down.
