Would you rather be the clown who distracts the bull, or the cowboy who rides the bull and why? I would be the rider because even though you would get hurt and maybe break some bones, get stepped on or even worse.

Another reason why I would want to be the rider is because you can die but the clown who distracts the bull would eat their attention and most likely the bull would get killed otherwise they clown or the rider would’ve died! Or maybe even both… 

If I was the clown the percent of chances of dying is more than the rider, even though you are having a full on earthquake on the bull. But you only need to stay on for 8 seconds, now that’s a short distance of time but it is still hard to stay on because the bull gets all mad once you start riding it.

The clowns wear or have a prop that is red so it attracts the bull. So I wouldn’t wear anything red, instead I would wear some clothes that are the same colour as the bull. I would do that because if the bull is dumb enough it would think something heaving is just on their skin.You would also get a lot of money from riding a bull.

If you had to choose between being the rider of the bull or being the clown who distracts the bull. But maybe you can tell me if you would rather be the clown!

Ingredients:
1-2 cups of 1 living person then get 20mls of a job that gives enough money to provide for yourself
3g of a small or decent sized house
Boiling water of appetising food for 1 person
Method:

Step 1
Get your person and pour the boiling water into the bowl then get the person to find a joyful fun job
Step 2
Mix all the ingredients and get them to save up as much money as they can and buy a mini house for them to provide what they need
Step 3
Bake some savings of food for at least one person, make sure you use the correct ingredients so it will bake properly.

Have you ever tried to plant a tree?🪴

If you have, is it fun? Us, TGS have tried many things. For example swimming, athletics and many more. Mrs Davies gave us a form to fill out if we wanted to sign up, but first we went to Totara Park to see what it was like at first, after that we would wait around a week if we wanted to go to Bombay. Some students went to Totara Park but not Bombay, Kimber Road.

After everyone signed up to go to Bombay we would go on the bus and the drive was around 30 – 35 minutes, we went on Wednesday 10th August. The bus driver was really nice but some people were being really silly and she had to pull over for them to stop. When we got there the landowners were Jocelyn, Mark and Rosie. Trees give us more oxygen, they also stop erosion.

 

 The organiser was Linzi from Trees for Survival. Finally after they told us what to do we walked up the hill and started planting. The hill was really steep and some helpers would use a drill and drill into the grass so we would only have to get the plant out of the plastic bag and plant it into the ground. It was more challenging than Totara Park because the soil was more soft and grass wasn’t in the way. There was a gate that separated us where we were planting and if you went up to the top of the hill you would have an amazing view. There were lots of cows on the opposite side of us. To help the Landowners we bring some of our plants to make it easier and we would have enough. We also needed proper gear because we would be in the mud. 🌳 🌳 

After planting over 600 Tree’s, they gave us a wonderful lunch and many kids were very hungry. They gave us different types of sausages, chips and after that they gave us marshmallows and cake, and drinks like hot chocolate, orange juice, raro and water. After we finished eating we cleaned the spades and after that we just sat down and waited for the bus. While we were planting trees I think some people were exhausted so they weren’t planting the trees properly. That was quite bad because we took around 6 hours and we needed to plant A LOT of trees. 🌲 🌳 

 

After we finished planting we went back on the same bus and when we got back we checked that we had everyone here and then it was around 2:40 so instead of doing work we just read a book and after that we went home. 🌲 

Why you should learn how to swim, especially when you are a kid!

Have you ever tried swimming? If you have, do you like swimming or do you think it’s ok, or maybe you hate swimming!🏊‍♀️

At The Gardens school we are very active in most things and the teachers make sure that we learn a lot for our future life and also so we wont grow up dumb🧠. 

Swimming should be part of our life because if you fall or if one of your friends pushes you into the pool or into a beach, which would be quite rude, you know how to swim because you learnt it in your past life. It can also be a great skill that you know. Or if you fall into the water the worst thing could’ve happened… DROWNING!! People can save you but if you are far out no one might see you or they might be too late.. but if you learnt how to swim it would actually save your life, it also doesn’t take up people’s time and doesn’t make them worry

Swimming is really fun and important. Some people can swim for hours and won’t get sick of it some people might want to cool off because it was to hot on that day and some people just don’t even swim, but that might be for a reason, they don’t have a pool, might not have enough money for a public pool or maybe people just can’t swim. So that’s why you should learn how to swim, it is also good for us so we can just have a break from staying inside on our devices all day. 

It can also be good for our health and fitness, and if you get really hot you can have a break and just go jump in the pool and relax, have some fresh air or you can increase your swimming skills. You can have some friends over and you can teach them how to swim too! It is also very enjoyable, you don’t only have to swim. You can also learn tricks like

• Doing flips in the pool
• Doing flips out of the pool
• Learning how to do a trick while swimming
• You can also learn some of the classic types of swimming but with a twist..
• Just Learn some classic tricks .

 

Why should all children go swimming? They all need to because as a child you can find it really fun or maybe you are competitive and maybe want to try out for the Olympics when you get older. Ok maybe too far but it is very entertaining and enjoyable. It doesn’t have to be just swimming.. again it can also be how to hold your breath, because you definitely can’t breathe in the water so you are gonna have to learn how to breath in the water without covering your nose. Because if you cover your nose you only have one hand and it’s easier if you have two hands to help you swim.

The best thing could’ve happened to TGS, Tree planting!

We have been waiting for a short distance of time. Three days, and the day has finally arrived… Tree planting!

Tree planting could be the best thing that happened to your life, it’s really fun! If you need to get outside the best thing to do is plant some trees 🪴. 

The told us how to plant the trees and how to get them out of the pot and main things you have you do in tree planting 🌴. 

We had to listen very carefully because if you didn’t you wouldn’t know how to dig up a whole a for the plant, how to get the plant out of the pot, and having the plants soil round it to be the same.

The main things for planting a tree that you can do is 

• Put down a type of spray or a cage to keep animals from eating your plants
• If you are desperate and you want to keep your plants healthy without nature doing it for you, you can water your plants each day
• Make sure no grass goes on the soil.

The type of plants that we planted were ↙️

 

• Kowhai 
• Manaku
• Ti kōuka – cabbage tree 
• Harakeke – flax

 

We all had to plant at least up to 20 plants each, some people planted more than 25!

The short dark green plant that looks spiky and looks like it can give you a small scratch on your hand is called the manuka. The long light green and yellow plant is called the Ti kōuka – cabbage tree.There’s a lot of those ones, the plant that is by Toby on the left is called kowhai, like the house colour 🟡. The last one is Harakeke – flax. It looks the same as Ti kōuka – cabbage tree but it’s the smaller vision of Harakeke.

The hardest part of the whole day of tree planting was walking up the hill. I think everyone had fun participating in tree planting.After all the hard work, we can finally eat and go back to school and learn.

What is a hero?

What I think a hero is, a hero is a person who helps people and it’s not like superman, Batman, Ironman anything ending with man, but I think that a hero is someone who would help you or save you without using powers but they can use other things like Sir Peter Blake saving the environment or Dame Whina Cooper for fighting for Māori land rights.  Being a hero is a very huge value, the values like intelligence, loyalty, and more. A hero can be superman and all those “mans” can be real in your life some people dont think it’s real but i don’t really care about superheroes and stuff like that 

 

My hero is all of my friends because they are the people who comfort me and let me play with them and I’m not alone or bored and for example, if I was sad they wouldn’t just walk past me they would ask me what was wrong or for example like Jules all of her friends gave her presents and gifts and everyone and people who wasn’t even Jules friends would even say goodbye.

 

So a hero can be anything you like instead of an animal unless its a police dog and they literally save people’s lives but for me hero’s like superman Batman all the mans they’re not really hero’s. In my opinion hero’s can be anyone or animal even Jules can be a hero but i think having a friend is like magic.

This Cat is kind of a robot but this cat can do other things…  A Catbot is kind of like Siri because it can serve you, and whatever you tell it to do it will do it instead of just sleeping all day. It can swim in your pool and not go crazy over water, it’s VERY fluffy and soft and it acts like an actual cat instead of sleeping on your bed instead of the 100 dollar pet bed for cats, and it is only 50 dollars, it can also do your homework and you can do something else. I wanted to invent this because no one had made this yet and I think it is very interesting to have a cat that can do whatever you day, and it acts like a cat ,feels like a cat that is nice and soft and it doesn’t feel like metal. I also wanted to make this because normallry some cats are like 10,000 dollars and this cat is only 10 dollars so you don’t waste your money on a cat that doesn’t even listen to you.

 

Paragraph 3

I invented it by making metal soft and then just shape the metal into the cat’s skeleton and then I clean a normal fluffy mat and I cover it onto the cat’s skeleton but before that I need to put wires into the cat bc who wouldn’t want a cat that isn’t wireless. Then I put in cotton to make it softer and then I put on fake eyes that look realistic and then the mouth, whiskers, ears and other and I’m done, the last thing I have to do is put on claws that are not sharp.

Why did it work? Because I am smart. Nah it worked because i used mostly everything you need to make a cat that is a robot. Yeah yeah there’s a robot cat and dog and other animals that i don’t know that is a robot but this cat is WAY better than those because those robots have METAL NOT FLUFF AND COTTON! This cat doesn’t act like a robot AND it does walk like a robot animal either.

Catbot is very good it is stunning way better than Elon Musk and his flash cars and his moneyyyyyyy but it is good because it is fluffy, soft definitely not a robot, doesn’t walk like a robot, it listens to your commands so it will do your homework it is way better than any robot and its only 10 dollar.
