Plants are important to environment because it releasing oxygen into the atmosphere, absorbing carbon dioxide, providing nutrients to animals, and regulating the water cycle.
Plants make Oxygen for us to breathe just by absorbing carbon dioxide, they take in carbon dioxide with water, soil and the sunlight, then it produce oxygen in photosynthesis system.
