Reindeer making for STEAM Term 4

This week we made a Christmas Reindeer for STEAM. And I based the reindeers antlers on the Irish Elk that lived in the ice age, it made the antlers huge! First I Mae a draft in my steam book (it looked like a goblin then we did our real one, after that we dyed our background blue and used pastel to colour my reindeer then I used glitter on the background and cut my reindeer out.
This is how my reindeer turned out!

Lily O’Lee STEAM Blog, Week 8, Term 3 2025

First we had to read the book. Next we had to write a draft in our steam books about what we would do. I did KFC and added my (ing) words. Then we had to show Mrs Barrowman. After  Mrs Barrowman said it was okay we drew three sketches of Lily o’ Lee carrying stuff and the CATASTROPHE! Then  we would look, for 3-4 people and airdrop the photos to one person we edited the photos and made a CapCut video about it!

Our focus for term 1 was Hauora (wellbeing).

we learnt about Te Whare Tapa Wha. In the Te Whare Tapa Wha model that are 4 walls that make it up. They are:

1. Taha Tinana-Physical well-being
