This week in STEAM, we had a super cool activity where we became history detectives! 🕵️‍♀️🕵️‍♂️

In small groups, we were given a famous New Zealander to learn about. Some of us had Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to climb Mount Everest! Others learned about Jean Batten, the amazing pilot who flew all the way across the world 🌍✈️. Some of us even explored the life of Ernest Rutherford, the scientist who helped discover atoms! ⚛️

In my group we had four people who were with us. We worked together to find important dates in their lives – like when they were born, when they did something amazing, and when they changed the world. We put all our facts in order to make a giant timeline on a big sheet of paper. It was like building a story of their life!

We turned our paper timelines into awesome digital timelines on Canva. We added pictures, and fun colours to make them pop!💻🎨

When it was the last day of term 2, I went to my tutor and came back just to discover my uncle ( who was in Christchurch for 1 year) came back!!! Then the next day my dad had to go to work and I went with him to his shop. Then I opened my iPad to make some YouTube videos (since I am a professional editor) then my dad needed me to make an invoice for a customer and he said he would be right back in an hour or so and I was looking for customers… AND 15 CUSTOMERS CAME. Then I called dad from the office and said that he should hurry up and come. Then out of nowhere a Land Rover was coming in the garage and it had the same number plate as the ford ranger that we owned in the front and the back and I saw my dad in the car. Then I went to see him and he said he bought a new car. then I bursted in excitement and that day, IT WAS A PARTY. Then after  few days on the last day of holiday we went to north shore waterview and ate some dinner
