Minecraft – What I learned from Cassandra’s world!

A Review for Cassandra’s world: ⭐️

It very really good and creative, it was also really cool too! The kaitiakitanga zoo was awesome, it was like a minecraft world version of Kelly tarltons, except you can see the land and stuff and not just underground and underwater. But still, it was really cool and I loved doing the questionnaire and answering the questions.

What was in the world: There was an underwater aquarium and lots of animals there too. The underwater aquarium tunnel wasn’t that long but it was nice to see animals swim around above your head.

What did I learn from the world?

1. I learned to help baby turtles to get to the ocean

2. I learned how to dispose rubbish correctly.

3. And lastly I learned how to help a forest fire.

What was my favourite thing in the world? I really liked the underwater aquarium tunnel thing. It was so cool seeing a lot of animals swimming in the tunnel. But I also like the cherry blossom forest even if I didn’t go in there and check it out but it’s alright though

My rating out of 10

Blocks out of 10 – 9 blocks out of 10

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The whole world was very great but I wished that the aquarium tunnel thing was a bit longer so that I could keep on seeing the animals swimming above my head but that’s alright. I also wished that you could choose to look at both place (the aquarium tunnel and also the cherry blossom forest) because both places are really nice. The whole world is great though! 😀

Minecraft – The End. – WEEK 8

This is the final and last example on how to be kaitiakitanga. It tells you to donate any clothes or toys that you don’t need anymore and it could be sent to hospice or be sent to charity.

This is a trivia quiz, before you almost reach the end of the game you get to do another quiz to see what you learned.

This is the end of the game now! Once you’ve reached the end you can chill or hangout there!

What has been hard? To be honest, it would be doing the screen recording. Not that I don’t know how to screen record though, but because on the first few attempts I didn’t get the perfect one at first but then when I recorded the last one it was great! But when we posted it on Hero it had sound and we didn’t want sound but it was alright. We still posted it on Hero though.

What has been easy? It had been easy building the whole entire world sometimes it had been hard but I still managed through! It was also easy making the water cycle in minecraft! But I don’t really have anything else to say though.

Why am I proud of it? Because I think I worked really hard on the world and worked really hard on the design and layout. I’m also proud of it because of how much effort I putted in.

How did it make my world better? It made my world better by adding things that relate to kaitiakitanga and teaching people how our modern day life changes the world and its surroundings and how we create greenhouse gases and stuff.

How does it relate to our learning around life cycles of Kaitiakitanga? It teaches people about how our everyday human life activities can change the world around us and if we don’t pick trash up then our water ways would be polluted and how we need to do all of these things to protect our planet Earth.

Reflection WEEK 6: Minecraft

Some of the things I made this week:…

It was easy to: This week we had to make cycles in minecraft from what we learned last year. Bee life cycle, water cycle, plants life cycle and many more! It had been really easy to make the water cycle in minecraft, with some of my tricks and skills I made it. It’s also been easy making and designing the things I made in minecraft.

It was hard to: This week it was really hard to figure out ideas for what I’m going to build next and stuff. But I just decided to make an electric train because they don’t cause any noise pollution and also because they don’t use fossil fuel either.

My next step is to:… My next step is to build more things, so far I’ve shown eight examples on how to be kaitiakitanga. But I’m still not really sure what to do next so I’ll just wait and see what my mind can think up of. But that’s all I guess.

Minecraft Reflection: WEEK 4-5

Some of the things I’ve done so far:

Things that have been hard: It’s been kind of hard building the world all together and putting it all together. It’s also pretty hard to build what I’m imagining in my mind too.

Things that have easy: It’s been really easy to plan the world out and map it, and it’s also easy writing the blogs and stuff!

Next steps: The next steps I’m going to do is build my other stuff from my planning sheet and then after doing all that I’m gonna just have a check to see if I did everything right and maybe also correct my spelling?

WEEK 6 – The water cycle – EXTREME WEATHER

  1. What could be some factors caused by extreme weather?
Most factors are caused by global warming, things like: Glaciers, heatwaves, hot weather, hurricanes and cyclones. Glaciers can fall off cliffs and can easily melt in the hot weather! The sea levels are rising because of this… and that’s when floods come in! Heatwaves can lead the water to evaporation and it takes up a LOT of water from the ocean/sea/river/lake!! This can lead to drought, leaving not a lot of water for us left. heatwaves can start forest fires too if it gets too hot then it could also lit the whole forest.

2. Could you relate it to the water cycle?
Glaciers fall off the cliffs and melt because of the hot weather and the water rises! And heatwaves can make the water evaporate, then, the clouds start raining and it starts all over again! All of this is caused by the factors of global warming.

WEEK 4: The Story of a Droplet

“My Life as a Raindrop”

Hello, my names Pip and you might be wondering why I’m just frozen ice cold in a glacier. Well, I’m about to tell you how I got here.

First, the whole process starts with evaporation, evaporation is when water or liquid turns into a gas. Next process is called “Condensation,” Condensation is when the gas turns back into the liquid and it gets soaked into the clouds, for example doing your everyday human things creates a lot of Condensation. After Condensation we have… Precipitation! Precipitation is when frozen water falls back into the Earth’s atmosphere. Frozen water comes into many types of forms! For example: snow, sleet, hail, and rain!!!

That’s all you need to know about my life cycle. Interesting isn’t it? Well, I guess it’s time to go! It’s going to be spring soon and I’ll melt again! Goodbye!
