Life living in lockdown

Tuesday 6 August we were waiting to find out the news If we were going into lockdown or not. Just then I knew it, we were going into lockdown But it might not be for long until we find out on Monday. When I did find out the news I was shocked and devastated because the last time we got out of lockdown we were all perfectly fine but I guess it went down hill. The first New Zealand went into lockdown was 21 March 2020 last year, and we also had one earlier this year in February.

Layla loves going for walks and my dad loves taking photos with his camera, So what better way to go and do that when it’s locked down. My brothers didn’t want to go at first but when my dad said they can go play rugby they were in the mood to go. Almost every night we would have so much fun on the trampoline playing games such as rugby, tag, double bouncing it was one of the best things to do. The Thompson’s family love playing sports so we decided to have a 3v3 basketball, My team won like always. All the times that we had lockdown we would watch a movie. Not just sitting there we slept  in the lounge after watching and we would have heaps of snacks while watching a movie. We watched Fatherhood! It’s about a dad that had to raise his daughter all by himself due to the fact his wife died after birth, it’s a great movie. Sometimes I get bored so I FaceTime my family and friends. Asking if they want to play games.

I went around the house asking my family how they felt when we had to go into lockdown and who they were missing the most. For me I missed seeing the rest of my family and going to their house to stay the night. My dad felt that there was nothing really to worry about because he knew that we would be safe with the pony that we have been in before. Jericho felt gutted because his 1st XV rugby was still going and he wanted to finish the season off. It was so important to him because it was a big opportunity.

Vincent was the same he felt Disappointed because his team was about to go off to the 2021 Junior premiership opportunity. And you can tell by now we do truly love our sports so it was really hard for all of us because our last games for our season were coming up in netball, basketball and rugby.

Most of us were upset and shocked but for it to help stop the virus you gotta do what helps. If you take my advice then I would recommend you to stay home, keep clean and healthy. Please can you because I really don’t want to stay home all day with my brothers. When do you think the virus will stop?
