Week 6/7 blogs steam

Week 6 and seven together:

Did you know? Nature constantly refills the food cupboard by recycling nutrients from dead plants and
animals back into the soil. Nature’s cleanup crews are fungus, insects, mites (tiny
spiderlike animals), and bacteria (tiny life-forms). Earthworms, bacteria, and
other tiny living things in the soil chew up and digest dead plants. They turn all
those fallen leaves and brown stems back into minerals in the soil. Plants pull the
minerals up through their roots. That’s crazy!
