Poor U.S Senator?

At 3:30 this afternoon, at a big laboratory. A U.S Senator was eating some yummy and luscious doughnuts. He pulled out his wallet to go buy more but then, his eyes widened as he gasped. “I have no money left!”  Screamed the U.S Senator. “No, no, no! I need my paycheck now or else I can’t pay my rent!”. As his boss walked in, he rushed to his boss and immediately said “Boss! Please give me my paycheck. I need to buy doughnuts and pay for my rent by 7:30 pm”. “Huh? What? You already have it in your bag. I gave it to you yesterday evening. I just came to give you these doughnuts, we have tons at the front desk. Anyways, you can take a break now”. The U.S Senator was relieved. He went to take the doughnuts and then took a 30 minute rest and took a nap for 20 minutes.
