In the first week, a lot has happened. It might not look like a lot, but it sure does feel like a lot. The way that you act in the first week can really make an impression. Like trialing for sports, maybe it could affect your chances to become head roles. It doesn’t really matter if you were a naughty kid last year, you can always make a change and that will change your future. By a lot. For example, I was texting in class 2 years ago! I made sure to make a change and swore to never to do that again. Otherwise it can affect my learning and future. That’s why on the first day, I made sure to be helpful and confident. Try and set a good example for my peers and others, especially the younger kids. It wasn’t too difficult, but when I remembered about tests. My heart started racing, but I knew I had to be confident and just keep working hard. I definitely knew I was going to do better than last year, which I did! A reminder to always believe in yourself. Even if you scored lower, there’s always much more to learn. Another thing I did was apply for jobs. It’s quite nice to realise all the hard work you put into jobs and in your work will pay off; Like how we get to go to Rainbows End at the end of the school year. I hope to be able to get my jobs. Another thing I did in the past 2 weeks was I trialed for Girls Softball and Swimming. I think I did well in softball but I’m not sure about swimming. I think for the first fortnight of year 8, it went well and I had a really fun time enjoying things and getting use to the new expectations.
