What is a Hero? In my opinion, a hero is someone who helps people, rescues people or is kind. It can also be something else! A hero can be famous and not famous, sometimes heroes don’t get recognized which in my opinion is unfair unless they want their life to be a secret or they want it to be private. My kind of hero needs to be nice, thoughtful, and helpful and they need to have integrity.

Who is your Hero? My hero is Dame Whina Cooper. Dame Whina Cooper is a Māori woman that protested and led for women and Maori rights. She unfortunately died but I will always remember her as a hero!

Dame Whina Cooper had integrity, she made things right that no one pointed out. It was very brave and thoughtful of her, she was a leader at a quite young age which was really impressive. She fought for something that would change a lot about a country. What about you? Who is your hero? Is it someone famous? Well I’d really like to know.
