The lake will look less tragic.

The Auckland Botanical Gardens is a great place for photographing and education. It has an abundance amount of plants and animals specifically for scientific research or just a great experience to walk through. As me and my group tried to achieve the scavenger hunt we found a variety of Tōtara plants , along with plenty of Rosa . Did you know that the wood from Tōtara trees is prized for it’s exceptional durability and resistance to rot and insects. To sum all that all up I think the Botanical Gardens is a great place to learn more about nature and genuinely just have peaceful experience when needed.
Tōtara Park and Botanical Gardens are very similar considering there both Public lands , and both have native plants plotted everywhere you go! However the difference between the two is, Botanical Gardens are primarily educational platforms and Tōtara Park is a place of recreation. But if I was to choose my favourite one based on experience , it would be Botanical Gardens because I actually learnt more plants and it was a much bigger area.
Who is Sir Peter Jackson you may ask ? well he is a 62 year old New Zealand film director , screenwriter and producer. He is best known as a director , writer , producer of the “Lord of Rings” trilogy , and the Hobbit trilogy. He has a lovely wife named Fran Walsh followed by 2 kids Katie , Billy.
Peter Jackson was born in Wellington and was raised in it’s far northern suburb of Pukera Bay , exactly on Oct 31st o1961. He began making / directing , movies at an early age using his parents Super 8mm camera. After attending “Kapiti College” he left at the age of 17 years old and began shooting a science fiction comedy short , which three years later had grown into a 75 minute feature called Bad Taste.
Peter Jackson’s journey towards directing was alot , He started off his career with “Splatstick” horror comedy called Bad Taste with the following of a black comedy which is named ” Meet the Feebles”. Jackson not only filmed those but also set up a shot for his 2005 remake of King Kong with the actor Jack Black. Surprisingly this film inspired Peter Jackson to actually become a film director as a child!.
Well as we all know is that he is a famous New Zealand film director , screenwriter and producer. His love towards directing was huge. As he directed over 20 films , 22 to be exact. Not only has he filmed / directed 20+ movies but towards that progress he’s also achieved plenty of awards specifically three Academy awards , Golden Globe / four Saturn awards etc…
Peter Jackson is a New Zealand director , writer and producer. But what movies/ films did he direct?. Well he’s directed The Hobbit , King Kong , Lord of Rings and even Bad Taste. All these films took time and effort but gladly ended successful. In addition Sir Peter then directed , produced The Lovely Bones and the award winning World War 1 documentary “They Shall Not Grow Old”.
Peter Jackson is currently a hard working citizen , at the age of 62 years. He’s now producing a new Tolkien film , which will Center the character ” Gollum” , and have Andy Serkis to set star and direct.
In conclusion , Peter Jackson is an amazing hard worker. His passion for storytelling and dedication towards directing films will always be memorising. Peter Jackson will always be a highly talented filmmaker.

My first few days in Kāhu 2024 haas been pretty positive , calm and more comforting. We have been learning how to self-check our writing assesment , our house colours and plenty more just in 2 weeks!.Im happy to be back at school and finally see all my friends and teachers. So far we have been doing work like applying for jobs , Copying our book expectations into our book and making our own lantern to celebrate Luna new year.
Most students in our Kāhu hapori have been filling out forms like our tech applications. Our tech applications are pretty similar to our Job applications , you can pick 3 + choices but ONLY 3 times. I applied for Foodtastic , Kapa haka and lastly I am a baker. Overall by look at these past few days I can already tell its gonna be a good year.!
