So today 06/08/24 we went to the botanic gardens for a trip to match our Kaitangata theme. We had to do a scavenger hunt in the alphabet Oder A-Z we had to take pictures of many plants with a app called seek after we did that we had morning tea and switch the learning to storm water and learned about what happned’s to collected rain water and flooding. But on 30/07/24 we went to tōtara park we had a long walk but we took photos of tree’s and there species. Something
that was different from botanic gardens was in tōtara park was that tōtara park was really muddy and u can get muddy very easily and bontanic gardens is just grass that will stick to ur shoes depend’s if it’s wet grass. Also tōtara park has tree’s and plants mix of them both! but botanic gardens is a mix full of tree’s, plants’s and flowers it’s looks really colourful verses tōtara is like a forest kind. Tōtara is really good for hiking and is a calm place! But botanic garden is a nice place to hang out take walks and look at flowers!
