Guardians of the Galaxsea Poem

Today I will be talking about pollution

We need to come up with a big solution

To get rid of the pollution

We need to clean the big blue ocean

So let’s go give it a try

Clean the ocean to take away the plastic that floats

Maybe try it and hire some boats

We need to keep our oceans clean

So then the aquatic animals can roam free

We need to keep our oceans nice and clean

So the fish and aquatic animals can swim and be seen

Let’s gather our friends and work as a team

Together we can make the ocean gleam

Puhinui stream poem

At the Puhinui stream we were on a quest

with bottles and vials we’ll do our best

Standing on the bay we giggle and cheer

scooping up water and our mission is clear

take our vials we scoop and fill

each drop a treasure a citizen scientist’s thrill

Tiny tadpoles swirl some wiggle some glide

we look at them swim with my besties by my side

leaves rustle softly as we walk back

we where a bit behind which was a bit of lack

we hear the water of the stream trickle

As leaves brush against my skin which make me tickle.

the red Sea of poppys

The poppys sway in the fields of Gallipoli.

Sometimes I feel the wind pushing me.

I felt relaxed, calm as the spirits of soldiers hold my hand.

Suddenly I feel uneasy something was dragging me away.

I push and push but there was no way.

So I let go.

And I fall into the red Sea of poppys.

digital art

Ⓓⓘⓖⓘⓣⓐⓛ ⓐⓡⓣ

Time to start our digital art. For digital art we did three sessions and I am writing about the second session. We had to make an all about me art. There was this template and we had to choose one and move around the nose the lips an the hair. Then we had to add things that represented us.

My first day in Kāhu was amazing! Our teachers are the best, my teacher is Ms. Rowland the Kāhu leader. Our space is in the north shore where there are two whanau’s kāhu 1 and Kāhu 2 I am in Kāhu 1. In week 1 the teachers explained what is going on throughout the term. When I heard the teachers say mentioned about the sport cricket I got excited and my friends Joel and Jasleen knew I was going to join. It’s my dad’s fault that I love cricket so much, I loved it so much that in the past I remembered I said my goal is to become a cricket and become world famous. The bell rang and I knew it was my first morning tea of 2024. Me and my friends ate until the traffic light went green. We went to our bags and put our lunchboxes away. Then we ran up the stairs that lead us to the big playground but at the top of the stair case there was a construction plastic orange gate. “What happened here?” Said Joel confused. “Oh the are fixing the field something like that” I said. So instead we sat back down and played spin the bottle truth or dare. “Do the slick back Joel!” Aarya mistery said. Joel disagreed. He said he was bad at it. Then I said “fine you know what I’m gonna do it.” But instead of a floating slick back it was a rusty slick back. So embarrassing. But then the bell rang. And that meant we had to go inside. When we went inside we got instructions from our teachers to set up our wataka. A wataka is the same thing as a timetable but it’s called a wataka. After that we had this thing called intermediate expectations. It’s when we talk about how we have to behave and how we become a role model. After 30 minutes the lunch bell rang. I was starving. We ate and played spin the bottle truth or dare again. The bottle landed on me and my dare go to Mrs. Panglia (my mum) and sing the fnaf (five nights at Freddy’s) har har har har meme song. So I had to. It wasn’t that bad although my mum was confused. Finally the bell rang it was time to head  back inside. We had a whole school assembly. After that we talked about the treaty of waitangi. We had to go in groups for this. In my group I had Zyx and Ishita. Together we worked on slides then the last bell rang and it was home time. I had a very good first day of school.
