A Normal Kāhu Monday

On Monday after the roll Kāhu students line up waiting to go to assembly probably already wanting to go home.  In the assembly we get certificates, more certificates, even MORE certificates, a prize from Mr Van Tonder (Mr VT) after we watch his weekly science vlog thing…, and person of the week.  Soon after the assembly ends we all sit down in Tamaki river and wait for the instructions,  Miss Rowland (Kāhus head teacher) will explain the wataka and SDL plan then let us go off to our home whanau to complete both of those very important tasks for this fortnight.  Once we finish it’s normally almost morning tea.

After morning tea we have one of our six labs (a-f).  Each one of those labs are a different subject e.g A & D is reading for kahu 4 but then A is writing for kahu 5 and D is maths!  Once we finish our lab we have 5 minutes to get sorted for our next lab (each block has 2 different labs).  After we pass our lab and lunchtime we either have tech (textiles, enviro, & food tech) or literacy/maths whanau and then we have maths workshops for 30 minutes leaving 10 minutes for us to pack up!

After we’ve packed up we all go to our home whanau waiting to be dismissed so we can go home and lay in bed playing games until dinner’s ready.
