What is Kaitiakitanga? Kaitiakitanaga is our semester topic. What does it mean? Kaitiakitanga is the Māori term for guardian of the sky, the sea, and the land. Currently we are focusing on the sea area, we went down to Tōtara park to look at our local awa, The Puhinui stream. We walked around and took a look at the different kinds of plant species there was, we used the seek app to help us identify the different kinds of plants and see what plant family they were from. After a week had gone by we went to the Botanic Gardens where we did the exact same thing at Tōtara park just this time we were looking at how they use stormwater throughout the gardens.
I loved this blog you wrote kalilah. I thought it was really creative to have a brief of the launch topic and then the link to the slides. It was really interesting and I liked all your different slides. I have no tips for next time.
Wow Kalilah, you really out did yourself not only do I like that you kept your slide on theme of nature you had a introduction to the slides! I also like that you added quotes at the end for why we should keep our environment safe. Overall I think that this is one of your best pieces as it consists of slides and quotes!
