Week 6 – concrete poem

In week 6 Mrs Haywards literacy class learned about concrete poems.

How to Write a Concrete Poem

  •   It doesn’t have to rhyme but it can if you want it to.
  • Write words in the shape of the thing you are writing about.
  • you can include sentences or add single words.
  • concrete poems often use alliteration or similes.
  • You can add imagery and metaphors  too.
  • You can use the words and the shape of the words to help you.
  • Simile words compares with like or as.
  • metaphor words compare without like or as.
