Kiwi – Iwi ‘s Adventure

FYI!: this is a group project.

WHAT DID WE USE THAT FEATURES OUR COUNTRY ?

we included the native birds of NEW ZEALAND, and features an extra important character, a very mysterious cat… but other than that, the native birds…a kiwi, that went by the name ‘Kiwi – Iwi’,a kakapo thats name was ‘pakoa’. (which is quite unreasonable to have a name like that.) and finally, a pukeko named ‘Pukekoē’. They all were coloured digitally by me. as a designer of course. I enjoyed making them and colouring them in my own time. 🙂 we also, featured trees that are known to us kiwi people. like the kauri tree, and a rimu tree. Both those trees are native to our land, also being the only country with trees like those…,

SECRET….THIS IS PUKEKOE! :)this is kiwi iwi :))THIS IS PAKOA

WHAT DID I LEARN DURING THIS PROJECT ?

I learnt about the different locations in our country that i wasn’t aware of. Like for example, i was never aware about the fact that there was a stream named ;  ‘Puhinui Stream’. thanks to our researcher who found that out for us. 🙂 i also learnt about the appearance of each bird i drew. Like for example, ive never noticed that kakapo’s had a bit of brown mixed with their beautiful green shaded feathers.

WHAT DIGITAL SKILLS DID I USE ?

the digital skills that i used as a designer in my group, was mainly drawing digitally on an artistic app and putting all the three birds into our slideshow. including the goofy look to them and pretty colours i newly discovered for them.

WHAT WILL I DO DIFFERENTLY NEXT TIME ?

personally, if i had a choice and also time, i’d probably digitally draw the backgrounds on my own instead of importing random searched photos randomly found on google. But other than that, i enjoyed myself.

I THINK ME AND MY GROUP DID A GREAT JOB. 🙂   <– right there.
