This week in S.T.E.A.M I  made some Christmas art. I made a reindeer. First I had to draw a draft, then I had to draw this real thing, then I used dye to make the blue background, then I coloured it in, next I cut out the reindeer, then I did a squiggle of glue and put glitter on that trail of glue, and finally I used hot glue to stick it on the paper. Merry Christmas.

This term in Tūi 4 we have been learning about famous NZ authors and illustrators we learned all about Lynley Dodd who writes the hairy Maclary books and many more. She has been an amazing influence for people in NZ and all around the world. Her books can be easily recognised by the rhyming and characters. She truly show how New Zealanders can be very innovative and talented.

This week with miss Maunga we have been learning about NZ musicians. Brooke Fraser is the musician we have been learning about. She released her first album when she was just 19! She is a very talented music artist and a big inspiration for young musicians all over the world.

For steam this Term we have been learning about how  New Zealand makes an impact on the world. With miss Siau we made famous nz landmarks and places. Me, Joseph, Isaac, and Malakai built famous nz land marks In Minecraft. We all worked hard and the end result was an amazing Aotearoa world landscape. this is a hobbit house

1. What NZ identity features did we include? We made native NZ plants and animals.
2. What did I learn about Aotearoa during this project? We have a very specical country which we must protect.
3. What digital skills did I use? Most of these things had and needed a circular shape which is pretty hard to do in minecraft.
4. What would I do differently next time? Probaly foucs on one thing at a time and then move on to the next thing once it looks good.

How well did we work

I think we did great considering the time we had. I’m proud we could build all this in just two weeks.

What was easy or hard?

The easiest part was making the logo. And the hardest part was adding our recordings on garage band.

which task do you enjoy doing the most?

I enjoyed making the story boards. Because it wasn’t to hard.

How does you podcast relate to kaitiakitanga? our podcast is about caring for the environment. And how fruit and vegetables are impacted on life.
