Richie McCaw was born on New Year’s Eve 1980 and he started playing professional rugby for Canterbury in 1999. He joined the All Blacks in 2001 and in 2006 he became the captain of the All Blacks. Between 2006 and 2010 he got the world rugby player of the year. In 2015, he officially retired from professional rugby. He was a good leader and he played for 14 years before retiring so that showed how dedicated he was to rugby and how he became so famous in New Zealand. Richie is now living in Wānaka with his wife and 3 daughters. He is 187 CMs tall and weighs 107 KGs.
