This week for steam we had to make a survival tool or survival shelter and I made a survival tool and this is what it looks like
This is how I made it I used sketchers school and made a new sketching and then I first traced out on black the axe then all the other tools connected with chain to the axe then once i finished doing that which took a while i wrote down on the side everything that i put on the tool and once that was finally over i coloured in the extra tools and coloured in the back round which didn’t take that long but it was fun and in it i learned how to use digital drawing apps and working independently. It was fun and I’m exited to share more of my steam and other in the future. Bye!!👋
This week for steam with Miss Goodwin we were learning about famous people and we had to chose 3 people to be with in a group and in our group it was Me(Libby), Lucia and Olive then once we got into our groups we had to chose somebody and we chose Jean Batten.
Miss Goodwin gave us a piece of paper to write about a timeline on the person we were doing so once we got the paper we chose our jobs Olive wrote down I searched up and Lucia searched up 1 at the end it was fun after a while we finished it looks like this.
We then had to do a digital time line when it was time to do this Olive went on holiday to Samoa 🇼🇸 But it was fine because we had to do individual ones anyways so it didn’t matter so what i did is i went on Canva chose a template to use and once i found one i clicked on it and wrote in the year and day the achievement or birth/death happened. Once I finished I showed it to miss Goodwin and she gave me the ok, so this is what it looks like.
I am pretty happy with it but that is what happened in steam!!
We learned how to work all together, use digital materials and have fun doing our work, it was fun learning about these amazing intelligent kiwis I’m exited to do steam and share it with everyone next time! Bye!

Friday 18th July 2022 NZ Rugby History I can Research the History of the All Blacks
1. When was Rugby introduced to New Zealand and by who? It was introduced to New Zealand in 1870 by Charles Monro.
2. When did New Zealand play their first Rugby game? Their first game Rugby game was on Saturday the 14th of May 1870.
3. When did New Zealand play their first international game? Did they win or lose it? It was against Australia on August 15th 1903. New Zealand won with a score of 22-3.
4. When was the New Zealand team called the All Blacks and how did they become known as the All Blacks? They were originally called during the tour 1905-1906. Because of their uniform which is all black. How is the same as why. Its original name was the Maorilanders (New Zealanders of colonial NZ).
5. Name 3 of their best players and what they are known for. Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Jonah Lomu. Richie McCaw is known for their leadership, skill and transformative impact on the game. Richie McCaw is known for being one of the greatest players and most successful Captions.
6. What do the All Blacks perform before each game? What does it mean and why do they perform it?
They perform the National anthem and haka to represent our country and to honour the Māori culture and heritage and to foster team identity and prepare the team.

In the school holidays in the second week on the 7th of July Me, Olive and Kenzie went to a camp it was 3 nights and 4 days it was my third time and their first time we arrived at 1:00 Our cabin leaders names were Gaia(she’s my fav) and Alice. The campers were Me, Olive, Kenzie, Carolina, Nina, Rosa and Margot(said Margo) It is a girl only camp & device free, There were ten people including me in the cabin. At 2:30 we got our horse assigned to us, I got Montie, Olive got Locket and Kenzie got Kauri I was happy with who i got. At 3:00 we started riding i was in highest with Iris Kenzie and Olive was in Beginner with Ellie. After riding our duty was stables so we mucked out put the brushes in the box made sure nothing was on the ground, after that we had dinner it was burgers they were good. We had Devotions which is where people pray and talk about Jesus and God(it’s a Christian camp). Once Devotions was over we went out to the arena and played night games thats what we did every day on the last day we had a riding show. It was fun i liked camp it was so fun.
A acrostic poem is a word that is going down not side ways and then you write words about the word next to it that starts with the same letter like my poem.
A Cinquain poem is a 5 line poem the first line is the title the second line is adjectives about the title the third line is three words that end with ing and the fourth line is a little sentence about all it then the very last line is a big word about basically what it could cause.
I learned that i had to water my plant everyday i would know if it needed watering because if it did it would be light and dry i would probably try taking more care of it next time because i felt like i did not really worry about it until i saw mine dead a couple weeks later.
I am pretty happy with it but that is what happened in steam!!
