The Amazing Sir Peter Jackson

Sir Peter Jackson was the director of a very famous movie called the Hobbit. The Hobbit is about An Unexpected Journey and the Desolation of Smaug and the Battle of 5 armies. Sir Peter Jackson is famous for his movies such as The Hobbit (and its series), King Kong, the Lord of the rings (and it’s series) and more! What got Sir Peter Jackson into filming? After one of his family friends gave his family a Super 8 fine-camera, he began to make short films for fun!

Sir Peter Jackson was born on the 31st of October 1961 in Wellington hospital, raised in the far north suburb of Pukerua Bay Porirua. Sir Peter Jackson went to Kāpiti College, located on the Kāpiti coast 45 minutes from Wellington city.  He loved adventuring as a little boy and was inspired by his adventures he used to have around a playground he would call ‘Adventure playground’ .Sir Peter Jackson is a kiwi originally from Wellington now living in a mansion outside of Masterton.

Sir Peter Jackson Started his career with Splatstick horror Bad taste then started filming the Black Comedy, Meet the Freebles, then filming the zombie comedy Braindead. Sir Peter Jackson became famous in 1987 after he made his Comedy’s. Sir Peter Jackson chose to film in Aotearoa because he says “New Zealand uncanny resemblance to JRR Tolkien’s Fictional Middle Earth”, and also because of its beautiful land.

Sir Peter Jackson has made a lot of achievements in his career. Some of his achievements include 17 Academy awards, 12 British Academy of film and television awards and four golden globes. Sir Peter Jackson is the highest profile kiwi billionaire in Aotearoa! He also made a lot of successful movies including the most popular ones being King Kong, The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings.

Sir Peter Jackson made around $600 million net worth money and around $20 million per film of The Hobbit he sold! Sir Peter Jackson was inspired to make the Hobbit because of the book he read. The book he read main character was the Hobbit and it was also the name of the book. Also the Hobbit was one of Sir Peter Jackson’s favourite movies he made.
