Last week on Friday my mum and I had to wake up early and drive to our old farm. On the way there we got stuck in traffic from the construction but it was ok because they did mana waves to us and we were a bit early. When we got to the farm I had to get out and open the gate but then I slipped on the mud which was embarrassing but funny. I let my mum through and when we got there we saw my trainer with uni kids.
I said “hi” and got a lead rope to go get my horse. Once I walked all the way over to the field my horse was in I clipped her on and started walking her to the fence. I took her rug off to let her skin get some vitamin D and so she doesn’t over heat in the trailer…. Oh yeah I didn’t tell you! We were moving her to a new farm!
We waited for the transporters and they loaded her up she was a bit hesitant when the doors were closing which resulted in her getting a lot of scrapes. We got to the new farm and I was so happy the lady put my horse inside the stable and she was really stressed. She kept calling out to me and her old friends but she soon calmed down. The next day we moved her into her new field and all the horses were so happy to see her! They were all dancing and bucking which was also a little bit scary.
She is now settling in nicely but still gets stressed when she comes out to the stables. But in the end she will be much more happy than she was before!!
