This week my class have been doing Tessellation art. We first started by watching a video of how to cut the tessellation art. After that we first started with a square then we had to cut a shape that will be the mouth then you can slide, rotate and flip. Then do the same for a fin, head etc.
After that we used tape to stick the pieces on. We used the art we made as a trace, I made a dinosaur and I had to make sure there were no gaps. After we traced everything and added details we got a piece of card and traced it AGAIN!! Then we added the details and had to go over with a sharpie.
We soon started to use watercolours to give them some colour. I used green, blue and brown. I also had to do two layers of green because it was too light. I finished my Tessellation art after an hour or two. The next day I didn’t have any art to do so I got told to help paint Eric’s Tessellation art because he was away.Â
I really love my art and I’m so happy I got to do this sort of art because it also involves maths! So I got an award because I used my own design and because I think I did really well! Eric was happy I helped him with his art. I was happy too because it looked very nice!!
