During week 4 we looked at the life cycle of sea turtles and we had to choose a turtle to research from choice of 7.
I choose the flatback turtle and I chose it only because they seemed really cool and there are only 20,000 left in the world.
Term 4 reflection podcast
- What was easy or hard?
I think the hardest thing was finding people to interview and seeing if they were ok with getting interviewed, also I think the easy part was doing the interview first they had to practice which perfectly fine with my group as we had a lot of time as we were one of the first groups to finish out questions.
- which task did you enjoy and why
I think my favorite part about the podcast was the question making, because we had to make 3 or 4 for each segment which was really fun coming up with them and I loved making them with Millie and Aoife is was a little bit of a struggle at first but we got it done.
- how Is your podcast relates to Kaitiakitanga
Our podcast relates to kaitiakitanga because our questions relate to the earth and the ocean as it is apart of the Kaitiakitanga theme.
- tips to make a better podcast for the future
I would say to could choose some people who you could stay focused with while doing work and make sure you give each people a job on what to do

In week 5 we did a compare and contrast about whales and turtles, it was mostly easy and all we had to do was make a side about the differences and the same about it

Steam week 5 – poster
This week we started on making a poster of the ocean sea levels first was the sunlight zone with sea animals of turtles, dolphins, whales and jellyfish.
Next was the Twilight zone with swordfish, carb and other fish.
Second to last is the midnight zone with blob fish and angler fish.
lastly is abyssal zone with sea animals that I don’t know of.
Week 7 – my turtle book
For this week we had to make a book about our turtle of choice. Millie and I chose the flat back turtle because it looked interesting.
When I started using bookCreator it felt weird using a new app that I have never seen but when I started making and getting used to the features i started on 2 pages getting up to 9.
Steam week 3
Oviparous – Producing young by means of eggs which are hatched after they have been laid by the parent.
Viviparous- Give birth to live young.
Ovoviviparous – Once the egg hatches, it remains inside the mother for a period of time
Metamorphosis
Change of physical form, structure, or substance.
while doing this it was very fun to work on and took some tries on getting the
whale and the jellyfish
