Stop motion-the end

1.I like this part because it made our video better by saying what the life cycle is.and it also introduces our names so people know who made it.

2.This is also one of my favourite parts because it was the easiest part because it was made digitally on google slides.

3.This is also one of the easiest parts of our video. And this one is also another one of my favourites because it relates to kaitiakitanga.Which the teacher said we MUST include.

Bringing My Stop Motion Movie to Life: Designing Characters and Backgrounds

This week I have been busy designing characters and backgrounds on paper for my stop motion movie,I’m excited to share how my designs are coming together and reflect on the process so far. Here’s a look at my progress and the choices I made.

Listing the process.(what I need for the parts)

  • First I would need to make an day scene background
  • For the props I would need seedling, seedling with roots, an sprouting seed, sapling, small tree, and adult tree.
  • And I would need some soil (made out of paper of course)
  • All the props I would need to make the plant grow the sun watering can etc..

My progress so far.

well I haven’t done any progress because….I finished! So I don’t have to make any other thing because I made all the plants. and my group the rest  (day scene background and watering can the sun…)

Reflection

I am very happy by how the plants turned out I think they look beautiful and my group said they look beautiful too.

Challenges I faced

My hardest challenge was cutting the plants out because the parts were very thin especially the trees and it was also an challenge getting the colours right sometimes I messed up and had to restart because I would colour the trees wood part pink tough it was supposed to be dark purple (because I am doing a cherry tree.)

Here is an photo of my work.

Steam-crafting our stop-motion storyboard

What is a storyboard?,what is its purpose?

A storyboard is a visual representation of a film sequence, and breaks down the action into individual panels.A storyboard is a series of ordered drawings. It sketches out how a video will unfold, shot by shot.

Why is it important to complete a storyboard before starting your project?

  • It is a great and useful tool for planning and organising your project.
  • It is easier for you so you don’t have to think while you make it keeps you organised and saves a lot of time.

My group and I are choosing to do a life cycle of an cherry tree,we choose to do this because my buddys couldn’t choose which life cycle they wanted to do,so we used a spinner to choose for us and it landed on a life cycle of a plant! I have also put a photo of an storyboard at the end if you want to see it!

Storyboard-life cycle of a cherry tree

it isn’t finished yet but I hope you like it! 🙂

Anyways bye! 👋🏻

Kaitiakitanga-STEAM week 1 term 4.

So what is kaitiakitanga?

kaitiakitanga is guardianship and management ,for us kaitiakitanga is about looking after our generation sites and the environment ,now and for our future generations.

How Can we show kaitiakitanga?

We can show kaitiakitanga by protecting and caring for our land.

Why is kaitiakitanga important?

To make sure New Zealand’s land ,rivers ,lakes and coasts are protected for now and future generations.

Last week our group made a poster about kaitiakitanga each of s did our part! ,here it is!.

STEAM Week 9

What I did to my plant (what will I do differently next time.)

  • Water it more often.
  • Check on it every day.
  • Do not underwater it (or it will die)
  • Do not water on leafs (it does not grow if you water it on the leafs,it grows through the roots.)

What I did to my plant to make if grow:

Firstly,I poked a drainage hole at the bottom of the cup with scissors. Secondly I named the cup and dated it. Thirdly, I got a spoon full of soil and poured it in the cup. Fourthly,I chose the vegetable seed I wanted to plant, I chose cucumber 🥒,then I put two seeds in,in case one did not grow. Next I got a spoon full of soil and put it in. Next I watered the seeds. After watering the seeds I got a clean popsicle stick and I, wrote down cucumber 🖤.

STEAM Week 6/7

Why do we need plants?,how do they help us?

Plants are important because…

  • They release air into the Atmosphere.
  • When we eat plants and meat from animals that eat plants…we get the nutrients from soil into our bodies. if the minerals aren’t in the soil for the plants to absorb ,then we don’t get the minerals we need for our diet.
  • Forests do much more for us than just offer shade and quite. Forests protect our water supply and help make rain.
  • Forests help to clean the air too. Like all plants ,trees take in carbon dioxide,A gas that is in the air.

STEAM Week 5

        ↩️Yesterday  Now↪️
What we did Yesterday:

It feels hard and strong.

It drank about 1.3 cm.

The colour of the celery changed.

The Celery drank water.

The celery’s health got better.
