Lynley Dodd
In this term me and my group, scarface claw, me Ayahna, Amaira, and Bianca we learned about Lynley Dodd. she is 84 years old and she lives in Rotorua she writes children’s books she illustrates her books she puts pictures into it to make it more of fun/adventure she made so much books like , she has made 34 books Lynely Dodd has a special mind that makes children happy. As if they are on an adventure to make their minds daydreaming all about it, in her books she rhymes with every word she could think of and put it inside her book. Her book describes about how she thinks inside her head. She wrote so many books her first book was “my cat likes to hide in boxes” Lynley Dodd loves her job as a writer and publishing her own books she has two daughter’s Ella and Julia is mentioned in a New Zealand Herald article from 2017. Lynley Dodd was married to Tony, who she met while teaching in Wellington; he passed away in 2014. Lynley Dodd ; she owned a Burmese cat named Suu Kyi, who inspired some of her stories, and grew up surrounded by animals in her childhood. Suu Kyi was a diabetic cat requiring 2 injections a day and passed away in the years leading up to 2019.And Lynley Dodd is a celebrated New Zealand children’s author and illustrator, known internationally for her rhythmic rhymes and beloved characters like Hairy Maclary and Friends and Slinky Malinki. her career includes the story My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes.
Slinky Malinki is my second favorite character for my first favorite it has to be scarface claw 🤩
