Peter was inspired to make movies by adventures he had around his house, he was also a big fan of movies like Thunderbirds and Montey Pytons Flying Circus . Peter Jackson also dropped out of school at the age of sixteen with no film training. Eventually he made short comedies for television.

He started making movies in 1987 like Bad Taste, Meet The Feebles and more. Peter Jackson actually had no film experience it was trial and error. After a while he started to make great movies. Until be asked to make The Lord Of The Rings which is one of his most successful movies. The Lord Of The Rings trilogy made 2.9 billion dollars.

Peter Jackson is married to Fran Walsh and he has two kids Billie and Katie. His parents Bill and Joan Jackson who were originally from England. His daughter Katie was also a actor for Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit trilogy’s. His grandfather William Jackson fought in World War One and Peter Jackson never got to see him and his grandma moved to New Zealand to be with her sons.
