Week 6 concrete poem
A concrete poem is a really fun and easy poem to write. The concrete poem can be based about a person,place,thing or event, and it is written in a shape that relates to the topic. A concrete poem has to have similes (comparing things using like or as) , imagery and alliteration. The concrete poem is made up of lots of sentences or words joined together that relate to the topic. All of these words and sentences should be made into the shape that relates to the topic.

Week 9 steam
This week for steam we had to create a keynote animation of a sea animal. I chose a flat back sea turtle because it is an endangered species.

Week 8 steam
We had to make a brochure about any sea turtle species I chose the flat back sea turtle because it is endangered. I had to include the sea turtle life cycle, diet, habitat, fun facts and the threats to flat back sea turtles.

We had to make a book that has facts about sea turtles that also includes a sea turtles life cycle, habitat and diet.

Steam week 4 life cycle of a sea turtle
During week 4 we looked at the life cycle of sea turtles. We chose a turtle to research from a choice of 7. I chose the green sea Turtle. I chose this turtle because it is endangered.
I found out about its habitat, the stages of its life cycle, threats, conservation efforts and any other fun facts.
We then created a fact file about the turtle.’
Steam week 2 – Diving into the Ocean
‘This week for STEAM we learned about the different ocean zones. I researched and created a labelled diagram of each zone. It had to include a description of the zone’s characteristics, pictures of the animals that live in each zone and a brief description of the zone. There are 5 different zones which include: the sunlight zone (epipelagic), the twilight zone (mesopelagic), the midnight zone (bathypelagic), the abyssal zone (abyssopelagic) and the hadal zone (trenches)’
Steam week 3
In week three for STEAM we researched the different life cycle patterns observed in marine animals. We found that there are four main categories.
Oviparous – Producing young by means of eggs which are hatched after they have been laid by the parent.
Viviparous- Give birth to live young.
Ovoviviparous – Once the egg hatches, it remains inside the mother for a period of time
Metamorphosis – Change of physical form, structure, or substance
