In week 2 in STEAM we learned about 5 ways insects help our world. The first reason is that Insects Pollinate plants and I learned that beetles are one of the many pollinators. The second reason is that insects are an important part of the food chain cause many mammals and animals eat them, I learned that Dogs eat them as well. The third reason is that insects decompose waste and organic matter and one of them is a dung beetle, I learned that without them the world would be pretty smelly. The fourth thing is that insects control pest populations and I learned that some insects hunt other insects this helps populations keep in check which turns in turn protects gardens and farm crops. The fifth reason is insects are inspiring and I learned that insects can be inspired from deep connections of nature.
