Hi, my names Pareejat and this year I’m a Kahu student of 2024. Let me tell you about all the things that has happened in the Kahu space so far!

My first few days in Kahu had been wonderful and fun, this week (week 2) we started with SDL work with out teachers, we would take our P.A.L (our blue folder) with us to our session and we would discuss about a topic like math or literacy and Te Reo. During math we were going on this website called “E Ako”, it was this math website were you have to figure out the questions in your SDL book and type it into the website and click the arrow to go to the next one. Time from time we would go to different workshops with different teachers and mark our writing assessments rubrick (a rubrick is a sheet of paper to use for self marking our writing assessment). We have also been working on our lantern art for the Chinese New Years festival which is on 15 of November. We’re making these lanterns with circular cans and using shiny yellow paper to wrap around and make this little strings hanging from the lantern. After finishing the final lantern, it will be showcased in the festival.
