Early life .
Sir Peter Jackson was born on the 31st of October 1961 Pukerua Bay North Island. He was educated in kāpiti collage, he grew up in the seaside village 40 minutes from Wellington. When watching movies he dreamed of making his own movies so his parents gave him a 8mm camera and made mini movies at his backyard.
Career.
He began his movie making career in 1987 and made the splatstick horror comedy. One of his best movies was the hobbit trilogy and lord of the rings trilogy two of the most well known movies in the world. Ever since he started his career New Zealand has noticed his movies they loved his movies very much, so he is New Zealand’s favourite movie maker.

he has directed 13 films during his movie career as a director. From all his work directing. Movies he was knighted by Sir Anand Satyanand in Wellington April 2010. Sir Peter Jackson was given a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
