STEAM week 1. Sir Edmund Hillary

This week in STEAM, we had a super cool activity where we became history detectives!

In small groups, we were given a famous New Zealander to learn about. Some of us had Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to climb Mount Everest! Others learned about Jean Batten, the amazing pilot who flew all the way across the world. Some of us even explored the life of Ernest Rutherford, the scientist who helped discover atoms!

I worked Miss Pereto to create a timeline. We worked together to find important dates in their lives – like when they were born, when they did something amazing, and when they changed the world. We put all our facts in order to make a giant timeline on a big sheet of paper. It was like building a story of their life!

We turned our paper timelines into awesome digital timelines on Canva. We added pictures, and fun colours.

I learned that Edmond Hillary climbed Mount Everest he was born on 20 July In 1919 And died in 2008. I also learnt that he is on the Five dollar note.

Term 4 Keynote STEAM

My reflection

Something I learnt about keynote is they are great upgrade from google slides. The keynote app helps me learn for school. It has great animations and transitions that are fun to choose.

In my keynote it is about mammals because they are animals and I kind of like animals. Giraffes eats plants, Raccoons can eat anything like fish and nuts.

For my keynote I tried to make it the best and get it done so I can do my rubbish art, it was hard but I got it done.

STEAM Week 4

This week for STEAM I learned about plants. I watched videos about plants and I’m learning about the parts of a plant. We cut open peas and corns to see the inside. There are 3 parts of a seed. 1. Embryo, 2. Seed coat, 3. Endosperm. Update of my plant growth is on my slide.
