Minecraft blog post week:8
In miss Siau’s steam we had to build three landmarks of NZ and
three native animals also native trees or bushes. And we had to do this in a group, my group was me, Carmen, Aariya and Banipreet. And we had a choice of what platform we wanted to use the options were Minecraft or slids or Canva and many more but we chose Minecraft because they have a large assortment of blocks to build with. We all made about one or two builds. Are builds are L&P bottle, Hobbiton set, sky tower, tawa tree, Kauri tree, Kiwi, fur seal, fantail and Manuka flower. And we ended up finishing all of the builds.
1. What NZ identity features did we include?
We included a kiwi bird, L&P bottle, sky tower, Hobbition set, tawa tree, kauri tree, fur seal, fantail and Manuka flower.
2. What did I learn about Aotearoa during this project?
I learnt where the L&P bottle is it is in Paeroa NZ and I learnt what a Manuka flower looks like.
3. What digital skills did I use? I used my building skills and I had to use my creativity skills because in Minecraft they don’t have every block you need so I had to be really creative.
4. What would I do differently next time? I would make the sky tower smaller because it ended up taking a lot of time and it got really confusing and frustrating and another thing I would do differently is not doing a really complicated animal like a fantail because you don’t have enough space for the face details.
5. How well did we work together? I think we worked together pretty well but the only thing that I think we could try to do better on is getting a laptop for someone who doesn’t have Minecraft education or there Minecraft doesn’t work because in are group Banipreets Minecraft didn’t work but she did get to build one thing because I let her use my iPad because I could always just do mine at home because I made the world.
