School science fair
The school science fair was where every class made a science project and presented in the hall here is what they did:
The kiwis made a lava lamp that was really cool and poured some water on top of the skittles that made the colour swirl and whirl around the plate. They also did pottery and made tiny pots and even made super soft cloud dough that was so fun to play with. Another kiwi class made a video water cycle and flower art and grew plants and made leaf prints.
Then the pukekos prepared an edible food table diagram and showed us what they baked. The kotukus were learning about water and the change of state and also set up a water activity The piwakawaka made scented candles and preserved food like apple and marmalade and we also made installation cardboard houses
The Kahus made volcanoes based on real life ones and made a wall of healthy food and unhealthy food. The kahus told us about the animals getting trapped and how to clean our feet with the shoe cleaner. A different group of kahus showed us how to start a fire and what materials we should use. They also made wood houses with bedrooms and kitchens that are miniature but look so real!
I loved everything about the science fair like the cloud dough the kiwis made and the preserved food and the scented candles. I hope we do it again next year!
