JRR Tolkien was a famous author who had wrote lots of books like the Hobbit. His books have been very popular back then. He written more than 29 books.

JRR Tolkien was born on January 3rd 1892 in South America and passed away on Sept 2nd 1973 at age 81 from chest infection.He had parents named Author Tolkien and Mable Tolkien. The Father passed away in February 15th 1896 at age 39 from rheumatic fever and JRR Tolkien’s mother passed away on 14 November from diabetes.When his parents died he was only 12 years old so he became an orphan. JRR Tolkien had a brother named Hillary Author Ruele Tolkien who passed away at age 82 from leukaemia. JRR Tolkien had a wife named Edith Tolkien. They had 4 children named Christopher,Priscilla, John Francis and Michael.

JRR Tolkien started to showcase his literary abilities even when he was a kid. He was able to read at the age of 4 and learned to write soon afterwards. He also liked to draw landscapes and trees. JRR Tolkien learnt 15 languages and when he was a kid his mother encouraged him to read lots of books

JRR Tolkien took part in the first world war which was when he started writing books. He had invented over a 100 words that he even used in his books. The first book he ever wrote was The Hobbit, He also thought that Disney movies were too simple and childish so he refused to let them adapt his work. He also had a book he could not finish which was called The Book of Lost Tales. There was other books he could not complete so his son Christopher finished one of the books.
