Ambury park

Have you ever been to an ambury farm? Well on the 15th of November my hapori was going to Aumbury farm for a trip to learn about fabric and see all kinds of animals. We got on the bus and we were in the bus for about 30 minutes and as soon as we arrived we were able to have morning tea before we went to do our first activity.

It was time for our first activity and my group and group 2 went it’s this building and we sat on this fake grass mat in the middle surrounded by lots of different stuff that could be used for all kinds of things. There was this man who looked like he was in his senior years that was talking to us about what girl animals are called, what boys are called also what baby ones are called. We also learnt about different things we use each animal’s hair for. Lastly we had to get in groups and match the hair and the animals together which was quite fun.

If you have seen sheep shearing in movies or something, usually it looks quite nice and is not being hurt at all, however when we went into the sheep shearing shed the first thing I noticed was that it was so smelly. I could see the sheep getting Shawn and I must say it looked very brutal. There were bleeding rams and they looked like they were in a choke hold, however the teachers said that it was normal and it’s just like being nicked a bit. I really wanted to leave

Moments after we had to go back to the building and we had to use sheep cotton to make rope. The way you do it is first you have to use this hair brush looking thing from the bottom the flip. After that you have to spread it out on your leg and you and one other person spring from one side the opposite way of each other.

Finally it was time for us to eat our lunch. I was quite hungry after everything we had done but at least we could now eat so I got my lunch and then we ate and we even were able to play tag for a bit before we had to go and do our final activity which was felts

We got to felts and we had 3 fabric colors that we had to make a sandwich and right after that we had to do a whole lot more step which went getting them wet then rub with soap then tap it the squire out the soap and you have you felt that one of my friends mum thought was for the dishes which I think would work to be honest.

We all went on walks in groups and we went to go feed the lamb with random grab for quite a while because we just thought it was so cute they felt as fluffy as a pillow.Moments later we went to this insect garden just to find bees. I was sad because I wanted to see actual scary insects, however I was fine with that. There was this bird area which had all kinds of birds like turkeys, chicken, pigeons and way more that I can’t list. Ending it if we decided to go look at the pigs which were just sleeping. And then as soon as we thought it was over there was a black pig that had escaped through the drinking fountain and was just tryna scratch its back on anything it could find and I thought It was very funny. He went back into his are and we head back to school and 3 days later I’m writing this for whoever reads it

I loved ambury farms and I would recommend that you go there if you like animals.

Kindness

There was a man called James who used to have a great life. He may have lived by himself but he still didn’t mind because he kinda liked it but sometimes it could be lonely. He worked for the business Microsoft and was getting paid a lot, but one day everything changed.

He got a call saying that he was fired because someone had framed him and edited the camera to make it look like he had used the Microsoft bank account and stole very precious items there. He’s was also sued for all his money and his house which means he was gonna be homeless which was very bad for him.

It had been 2 weeks since he was kicked out of his house and now he was very hungry and he had no money. He lived near a gas station and he decided to go inside and ask for food even though he didn’t expect anything. instead of nothing he got food for like 3 days and a drink for free. He was so thankful for the worker and the worker also gave him a free lotto ticket and said to pay it forward one day. The homeless man was so happy and he scratched his lotto ticket and then, HE WON! He was so happy and went back to the gas station and said to the worker thank you so much and the worker was so happy with him and gave him the money and the homeless man left and was so happy.

It had been about a year since he won the lotto and he was doing great again and he even got a new job. One day he decided to go to the exact same gas station that he couldn’t have been wealthy without. When he got there he saw that it wasn’t there and he was wondering what had happened so he decided to look around and on the corner of the path in a corner it was him. The same exact worker that helped him last year, he was so happy to find him and asked why he was on the side of the road and the worker said that his place was burnt and he had nothing else. He was so surprised so he decided to give him money and a place to stay until he could start again. The worker was so happy and he accepted but didn’t think he needed to do it. Years later the worker was starting his life again but they decided to be friends and their life continued in a great manner.

Holf Eater

(HYBRID: Cheetah + Wolf + Hyena)

By DR TK

We had to make a hybrid of any animals or creatures that you wanted to use. I decided to combine a cheetah, wolf and a hyena. He has a wolf Bodie with hyena dots in him and has legs and dots like a cheetah and has more hair because of malfunction .

Wolfeaters naturally live in 1 jungle where you will find most of them living because they love the tall trees because they can climb them and are able to jump from tree to tree and that is because of the Cheetah DNA. The second place that you can find them is at snowy biomes because since there are lots of wolves here they like being in snowy biomes which you can tell is wolf DNA. The final place you can find them is at desert forest biomes which fits with the Hyena DNA.

The Holf Eaters diet has a lot of meat in it as it is a meat eater. The Holf favorite food to eat is wolves or Cheetahs, for some reason it doesn’t like to eat hyenas. The reason scientists think that it doesn’t eat hyenas is because it looks exactly the same pretty much, but sometimes he still does. Other than that they can pretty much eat any other meat. They also eat fruit which includes berries, lettuce and tomato.

The Holf is very intelligent which comes from the wolf and can also be playful if you are somehow able to tame this animal which is nearly impossible. Holves are also very very fast which they got from the Cheetah which also makes them one of the fastest animals/hybrids out there. It also has a large head with a long, thick, muscular neck and powerful jaws that gives it the strongest bite of any mammal.

A Holf is very hard to tame. The easiest way to tame one is to capture it and get it into some kind of cage or is comfortable in and then day by day you can just feed it and try to touch it day by day but be careful when trying to do that. Another way is just believing yourself and trying what comes to your mind but don’t do something you would do to a predator. Just know if you try to tame one, it can be super dangerous and you could get seriously hurt.
