Objective of softball   (Draft)

The objective of softball is split into parts. The first part is for the batter team. The batter teams objective is to pretty much wait for the pitcher to throw the ball and then you wanna hit it as far as you can, continuing with you running to first base or more.

The fielders’ job is to try and catch the softball in the fall and if not just try and grab it as quick as you can. The reason is that you wanna get the ball is that you wanna get the ball back to one of the fielders on each base which I will explain more in a second. 

Batters

Let’s talk more about the batter’s job. One team of batters one at a time must go onto them in front of one of the pads and face the pitcher. When you are watching the pitcher wait for him to throw and as soon as they throw the ball they try tryna get it to a backstop who is right behind your bat. You have three goes to hit the ball but sometimes it can be out of range if you see that it doesn’t swing and it’s called a ball which if the pitcher gets 3 balls you can walk to 1st base but if they get 3 strikes you are out. If you are able to hit the ball then you have to start running to the next base which I will explain more about bases now.

Bases

If you’ve read the last 3 paragraphs you must have heard me talking about bases. Here I will explain what the bases are and how each time I use them. The base is put into different bases which are aligned in a square. There are 4 fielders which go on each base and then a back stop that goes behind the batters bat. What the people at the base have to do and the fielders is when the batter hits the ball is if they don’t catch it on the fall they have to throws it to one of the base for e.g, if the batter was running to base one if the ball got the the fielders hand and he steps on the bases again the batter is out but it can be different if there are 2 batters which you get the one closest to getting a home run. The final thing I will tell you is that if you catch the ball on the fall that means the batter is instantly out which give you a chance to get out another batter too. For the batters pretty much they wanna get as many home runs by running as fast as they can to a base to be safe but a rule is that if the batter hits the ball and runs for 1st base the person on 2nd base if there was someone there has to go to 2nd and same for if someone was on 3rd and 4th.

Conclusion 

Softball is a very good sport as it combines techniques and strength into batting and also includes running and stamina when it comes to running parts and lastly you need to have good hand eye coordination.
