Introduction

Have you ever watched The Hobbit? or maybe your a big fan of the Lord Of The Rings. Well the real question is who is the director of these great films. The legend of these great movies is a man called Peter Jackson.

Childhood

Peter Jackson, son of Joan (Nee Ruck) and William “Bill” Jackson was born on the 31st of october  1961 in Pukerua Bay, New Zealand at a small seaside town which wasn’t far from the capital of the country, Wellington. As a child Peter really liked watching cartoons, with his favourite being a show called Thunder Birds. All of this got his imagination booming with ideas with the more shows he watched like King Kong. He got to a age where he wanted to create his own short films. He spent two years getting 75$ a week to finally get a 16mm camera which he would use to make motion animation to try make his first short film movie. Peter spent most of his childhood making short films getting ideas from one of his favourite creators called Ray Harryhausen who made really realistic monsters in his films. Peter went to Kapiti College were he dropped out at the age of 16 and the Job of a new paper photographer. He also made a film called Toungee in which took him 4 years to make as he spent lots of time doing editing. all his contemporaiers were off to university while he stayed to labor weekend to record more films. After another 3 years his life finally started turning around.

Career

After years of recording short films Peter Jackson finally on the 11th december 1987 he released his first movie called Bad Taste which was a low budget movie about aliens haversting on new zealanders.  Two years later his second movie in 1989 Meet the Feelbes, also known as Frogs Of War which is a puppet filled parody. His 3rd movie made in 1992 called Brain Dead was a zaombie comedy which was the best of the three. overall he made 40 movies in total with his lord of the rings and the Hobbit being the best.
