Why should we protect our earth? Our earth has been experiencing lots of problems recently including Climate change, droughts/floods and changes in weather patterns. These problems happen in every part of the world. New Zealand’s main problem is the ozone layer about us has a hole meaning New zealand is slowly heating up and there’s no signs of it ever stopping.
You may wonder what climate change is and what it has done overtime. Climate change can be where there are changes in weather patterns. For example in places like a desert where it’s pretty much always hot could randomly start experiencing more rain. Or changes in temperatures for example Antartica go from negatives to positives in degrees. The main problem with changes also come in with water levels rising which bring bigger risks of disaster. The main reason for climate change comes from the overuse of vehicles and the gas that is released from it.
New Zealand is also experiencing temperature problems and is slowly getting hotter because of the hole in the ozone. You also may wonder how else this is a problem? Well the sun will slowly expose us to UV radiation which can affect our immune system and affect our skin. This is mainly done by the amount of greenhouse gases that we release into the atmosphere which we can stop if we reduce the amount of greenhouses we have.
Our world also experiences problems with tree reproduction as with the amount of chopping down trees the ratio of human to tree slowly depletes as trees just aren’t able to reproduce as fast as humans can destroy leaving us with less and less oxygen as time passes. All we need to do is plant more, cut less and care more about what is keeping us alive.
With all of these problems our earth is having it is crucial that if we don’t do something now to stop even one of these problems then it looks like we have a dark future ahead of us.
