Swimming

Do you like swimming or know how to swim? Well on Wednesday the 3rd of August we had to go swimming so we had to pack swimming gear, towels and a plastic bag and then I left. When we got to school the teachers said that the day would be messy because one of the teachers were not here so they had to split the class in half. After a while it was time for us to go swimming so we ate for 20 mins and played a bit then we had to go on the bus and then we arrived at the manurewa  leisure centre pools.

When we got to the pools we had to go inside and since the pools were closed we were allowed to use the public changing rooms. After we got changed we went to the pool area and we had to sit on the bench and wait for the other half of the class to finish their swimming lesson. When they finished we had to go sit on the side of the pool and the first lesson they taught us was how to get in the pool safely and then they wanted us to show them our freestyle and after that they decided our groups by what we need to learn more on. There  were three groups : breathing, kicking and the third group. I was not sure about the third group however the group I got into was breathing.

As soon as we got sorted into our group the first thing we had to do was freestyle so she could see what we had to work on. After that she told us that we were using our hands the wrong way then she told us to dig our hands in the water when we freestyle. After freestyle she made us do dolphin dive, dolphin dive is where you have your hands on top of each other and you are under the water and you have to kick with your legs. We also did this other one we’re we had to hold this board with one hand and have your other hand on your side and after every 4 kicks you lean your head to the side then take a deep breath then repeat those same moves. Then we had finished and we had to get changed then we got back to school in the bus.

I enjoyed swimming with my friends and I just loved swimming in general and I am very excited for future swimming lessons and I could be better at swimm

This is a detailed piece of writing, TK I got a picture in my head of what you did. Remember to put capitald for proper nouns e.g Manurewa Leisure Centre.
