Week 4: Canada’s Wildlife

Native animals

You might know Canada as a snowy wasteland, but really it’s full of life. Canada has 48 national wildlife parks, in them they have native animals, which include, beavers, wolves, moose, coyotes, Lynx, and cougars, don’t forget the sockeye salmon. Other animals include wolverines, elk, puffins, grizzly bears, and the famous reindeer.

Plants

Canada doesn’t only have stunning animals, but also has amazing plants! Like the famous maple tree, and then there’s the lesser known plants like the white pine, paper birch and the Douglas fir.

Terrain

Canada’s terrain has lots of mountains, forests and snow plains. There are also lots of rushing rivers full of salmon.

In the snow plains there are Arctic foxes, polar bears and lynx, the Forests have grizzly bears, wolves and coyotes.
