Week 6: Science fair

Introduction 

On Thursday-Friday the school had a science fair, where all of the steam groups set up a presentation and put it on display in the hall.

3 things that interested Thomas

• The first thing that interested me was the Kahu woodshop group. They made miniature houses and silent auctioned them for a starting price of 50 dollars.

• The second thing that interested me was Greek pottery. Tui made it. It was really cool. They even made a pottery game on scratch.

• The last thing is bushcraft. The steam group my brother is in. They made forts out in Totara park and for their presentation they made a survival kit and videos of camp and Totara park.

3 things that Thomas learnt

• I learnt that kauri dieback causes the tree to bleed.
• I learnt that pottery needs special tools.
• I learnt that flowers can be pressed and turned into art.

Thomas’ favourite thing

My favourite was probably my thing. FFFFFOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDD, we even had FREE SAMPLES!!
