Term 1 STEAM Reflection 2025

Our focus for Term 1 was about Hauora (well-being).

We learnt about Te Whare Tapa Wha. In the Te Whare Tapa Wha model that are 4 walls that make it up. They are:

  1. Taha Tinana – Physical well-being
  2. Taha Wairua – Spiritual well-being
  3. Taha Hinegaro – Social and Emotional well-being
  4. Taha Whanau – Family well-being

For my Taha Tinana, I did netball as a sport. This helped me with my fitness.

maori language

Māori Language Week gives some basic Māori words and phrases. It gives students who speak Māori the opportunity to further celebrate and share their knowledge in the classroom. There are also community events that take place across New Zealand to celebrate Te Wiki o te Reo Māori. Māori Language Week began as part of the commemoration of the 1972 petition on the Māori Language to parliament. Hundreds of people now celebrate September as Mahuru Māori, in which they dedicate themselves to speaking only Māori. thats my maori language blog.
